If you heard the rumors it's true. We are having a baby! We were a little shocked becuase we weren't trying, but isn't that always the case? When you least expect it! We are very happy and we had been talking about wanting to have a third child, I just didn't know it was going to be this soon! Sidney and Lucas are super excited and are already naming our child! Lucas' pick was Jack if it's a boy. It's been his favorite name forever, I think we have about three stuffed animals with the same name. Sidney's pick for a girl is Gabriella Anne Pinkerton, very beautiful. A little too beautiful! This will be a new chapter in our lives, like moving here and starting two new jobs wasn't enough! I'm excited but a little overwhelmed. I know this is God's plan so that tells me he will take care of me. Just like I said this morning to the kids at church, "The Lord will come near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth." Psalm 145:18 and "When I am weak, then I am strong." 2 Cor. 12:10 What awesome promises God gives us.

Pinkerton Family Vacation
Hey all, sorry I haven't written for awhile! This month has been a whirlwind and I can't believe it's almost April! We got back from vacation yesterday night and Pink's family is staying with us for a couple of days. We went to Branson for three days. The weather was perfect! Sunny in the 60's and 70's, I even got a sunburn! That's really not saying much becuase my skin is so fair I can get a sunburn anytime the sun is out. Yeah for me! We went to our favorite place in Branson, Silver Dollar City, an 1800's theme park. I went on my favorite ride, Fire in the Hole, mostly because it's more of a memory than a really fun ride. I remember going to Silver Dollar City ever since I was old enough to talk and always going on this ride. My kids think it's creepy and after I had them go on it last year, they want nothing to do with it! Come to think of it, it really is creepy. It's an indoor rollar coaster with ugly looking men trying to put out a fire that these other uglier looking men started. But it's fun! We had a good time. I was happy to just relax and spend time with family. I hope all of you get to spend time with family this Easter weekend.

Merry Christmas to me!
My beautiful sister-in-law is here! Yeah! What was so great was that she came and got my kids from the church to take them home for me while I was at Route 456. When I came home they had already had a snack, built a fort, and wrote several silly stories. What a great Aunt! The best part of all is she brought tons of Starbucks coffee beans for me! My late Christmas present. Nothing like having Christmas in March. I love it! So I'm set for at least three months in the coffee department. On a different note, the new Route 456 program went great last night. We had about 16 kids and I hope to have even more next time. We ate pizza, played the Wii, ate baby food, and watched the amazing Master Potter, Jason Combs, make five vases on his potter's wheel. Watching Mr. Combs was really fascinating and the kids just stood there watching and asking questions for a long time! They were so interested in how he formed the lump of clay into something so smooth and perfect. What a great illustration of how God forms and shapes us into what he wants us to be. I really think that drove the point home to them that God has a special plan for each of them. It was a wonderful night. I want to just say that I have some of the best volunteers helping me with this group! Thank you Gary and Karen, you are both a blessing to me and to the kids at Farmland Friends.

The Big Let Down
Yes, it's true, I called the trip to Winter Jam off. I'm very heart sick about it because I had some kids going that were REALLY looking forward to rockin' out and praising Jesus. I also tried to get my money back, but since they didn't cancel the event there are no refunds. Stinks for me! I'm just really sad for my kids :( Hopefully I can find another event during SPRING time or SUMMER time that will be even better:)
To go or not to go, that is the question
I'm in a dilema this morning whether to trek out in the cold weather to take our kids to Winter Jam or not. Yesterday's news looked worse than today's so that's encouraging. I think we might be able to make it. I'm super excited to go and I think the kids are too! What a great opportunity to get to know the kids at Farmland Friends a little better. I also have some super adults going who will make the trip awesome! Please pray for us tonight if we go because we will be driving home around midnight and I really don't want to go 20 mph the whole way home!
