Family Fun Night!!!
I bought the banana split necessities today, so I'm getting excited about tomorrow night. It should be a really fun night, with a ping-pong tourney, pictionary on my new chalk wall on stage, and lots of other fun games. I hope you all join us! Believe me when I say I have enough bananas to feed an army! Oh yeah don't forget the chocolate syrup, strawberry topping, carmel topping, pineapple topping, whipped cream, nuts, and marchino cherries. Do you think I've tempted you enough? See you there!

The Ramblings of a Children's Pastor
I know I haven't blogged in a while so sorry for that, I just haven't been in the blogging mood. Sometimes I go through periods where I have to take a break from my computer. I'm on it most of the day when I'm at work, so when I get home sometimes I need a break. I think I'm ready to start blogging again. Here goes. I wanted to talk about the kids at Farmland Friends. The number of kids attending church right now is AMAZING! Our average right now is 50 in KidZone, 30 in Lil' KidZone and 18 in the nursery! Awesome! The new building cannot get here soon enough, but when it does, we are going to be filling it and then some. What an exciting time in our church! I'm so blessed to be a part of this ministry and I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that God is helping me every step of the way. He is my strength every day and he makes decisions for me that I cannot make on my own. How wonderful to have the creator of the Universe be my personal advisor in ministry! This month in KidZone our lessons are on serving our family, our church, our community, and our world. How perfect is this for Compassion Sunday coming up? God worked it out to perfection. I love it when that happens! So, encourage your kids this next week to look for ways to serve the church. That's our focus this Sunday and I will be giving them different ideas they can choose from. Parents, you are a huge part of your children's lives so show them a great example and get involved somewhere, somehow in the ministry of Farmland Friends Church. It doesn't have to be big, it can be something small and behind the scenes. There is a huge need in our church for more volunteers in EVERY ministry, you just need to ask God where he can use you in the best way. Even the fifth and sixth graders are joining in to serve, two Sundays ago they volunteered to be ushers, greeters, and helped clean up the Coffee Shop after the service. They did a great job. No Excuses! Serve!
